This notice explains how AK Smarts PDF uses cookies and similar storage in your browser.

1. Strictly necessary

• pt_session (cookie, up to 30 days): keeps you signed in. Secure, HTTP-only, not readable by other sites.
• Local storage: a random device number, your licence check for offline use, display settings (for example the ribbon layout and dark mode), saved signatures you choose to keep, and app files cached by the service worker so the app opens quickly and works offline.

These are needed for the app to work and cannot be switched off in the app. You can delete them in your browser settings; you will then be signed out.

2. Advertising

We do not currently use advertising cookies.

3. No tracking of your documents

Cookies and storage never contain the content of your documents.
