e-Sign adds a cryptographic digital signature to the PDF and certifies it with “no changes allowed”. If anyone edits the signed file later, PDF readers show the signature as invalid, so the person receiving it can trust the content.
Sign with your account for a signature that carries your verified name and email, or sign without an account by typing your name (shown as not verified). Only the document’s fingerprint is sent to the server, never the file itself.
How to e-Sign PDF

Private by design
Most online PDF sites upload your file to their server. AK Smarts PDF opens and processes it inside your own browser, on your computer or phone, so salary slips, bank statements, Aadhaar and PAN copies, and contracts never leave your device. It works on Windows, Mac, Android and iPhone, and you can install it like an app to open PDFs with a double-click.
Questions
Is e-Sign the same as Aadhaar eSign or a DSC?
No. It is an electronic signature from this app’s own signing service. Where the law requires a DSC or Aadhaar eSign (for example many government filings), use DSC signing instead.
Can I e-Sign without creating an account?
Yes. Type your full name and confirm. The signature shows your name marked as not verified. Sign in for a verified name and email.
Can I edit the PDF after signing?
No. Signed PDFs are locked. Edit first, then sign the final version.
Is AK Smarts PDF safe for confidential files?
Yes. Files are opened and processed on your own computer or phone and are never uploaded to our server. Only e-Sign sends a short fingerprint of the document, never the document itself.
Does e-Sign PDF work on my phone?
Yes. AK Smarts PDF works in Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox on Android, iPhone, Windows and Mac. You can also install it like an app.
